Cylindrical reducer
Description of a design of a cylindrical reducer
Cylindrical reducers – one of the biggest groups of reducers which in general is allocated with a special type of gearing, it as cylindrical tooth gearings.
Cylindrical reducers are characterized on such factors as:
On transfers (steps) in a reducer – 1 - step, 2 - step, 3 - step, 4 - step;
On distance between axes of output and entrance shaft - reducers with parallel shaft and coaxial reducers. Reducers are considered coaxial if the interval between axes of output and entrance shaft is less, than interaxal distance of transfers, on it, only reducers with number of steps not less than two can be coaxial, and also output and entrance shaft of such converters are located on the different parties;
On a way of fixing they are: mounted (with a hollow output shaft), on a flange or on paws.
Advantages of cylindrical reducers and drives constructed on them
1. The main advantage of a cylindrical reducer - high efficiency of a reducer. Thanks to what these reducers are energy-efficient. The efficiency of a cylindrical tooth gearing which is applied in reducers usually equals 98%, disregarding the transfer relation.
